Jamshedpur, July 12: To mark World Paper Bag Day, students of the Eco Club at DBMS College of Education actively participated in a paper bag-making activity, spreading awareness about environmental sustainability. The session was led by college teacher Mousami Dutta, who explained the harmful impact of polythene on the natural environment.
Students learned that polythene use contributes to pollution and ecological damage, while paper bags, made from biodegradable and recyclable materials, offer a safer alternative. The students enthusiastically crafted paper bags and took a pledge to use them in the future and to promote awareness about their benefits.
The event aimed to inspire students to adopt eco-friendly habits and reject plastic usage in daily life. Present on the occasion were College Secretary Priya Dharmarajan, Joint Secretary Sudha Dilip, Principal Dr. Joohi Samarpita, Vice Principal Dr. Monica Uppal, and other faculty members.
