Kerala Public School Kadma Celebrates Mother’s Day with Warmth, Joy, and Wellness

Jamshedpur, July 12: Kerala Public School, Kadma, came alive with emotion, elegance, and joy as it celebrated Mother’s Day in a heartwarming event organized on campus. The celebration honoured the love, care, and sacrifices of mothers while promoting the importance of healthy living and nutrition.
Gracing the occasion were Chairperson Manorama Nair, Principal Sharmila Mukherjee, Headmistress Alamelu Ravishankar, and Dietician Biva Ranjan. The day commenced with a warm welcome for mothers, who were greeted with flowers, handmade cards, and radiant smiles by their children and teachers. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp set a symbolic tone, representing wisdom, love, and the guiding light that mothers bring into our lives.
Headmistress Alamelu Ravishankar delivered an inspiring address, appreciating the invaluable role mothers play in nurturing the future generation. Her words were followed by endearing performances — a soulful song and a lively dance by pre-primary and primary students that captivated the audience. Young speakers P. Gunakshi (UKG A) and Saksham Rajak (UKG C) delivered touching speeches on motherhood, earning heartfelt applause from all present.
Adding depth to the celebrations, a special interactive session was conducted by resource person and dietician Biva Ranjan, who spoke on the “Importance of Healthy Food.” Her talk empowered mothers with practical tips for maintaining nutrition in their families and inspired them to make mindful food choices.
An engaging Fireless Cooking Activity was held for mothers of Nursery and LKG students, where they creatively prepared nutritious snacks such as fruit salads and vegetable sandwiches. The activity aimed to encourage healthy eating habits and showcased the mothers’ innovation and enthusiasm.
One of the highlights of the event was the ramp walk, where mothers walked the stage hand-in-hand with their children in coordinated outfits, exuding confidence and elegance. Fun-filled games and friendly competitions added to the joyous spirit of the day.
The celebration concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, recognizing winners of the various activities with certificates and tokens of appreciation. The Mother’s Day event at KPS Kadma was a touching tribute to motherhood and a reminder of the enduring bond between mothers and children.
