DBMS College observes National Voters’ Day with awareness programmes

Jamshedpur, Jan 28: Under the banner of NSS Unit–1, DBMS College of Education celebrated National Voters’ Day with enthusiasm to promote awareness about democratic rights and responsibilities.

Students and staff members took the Voter Awareness Pledge led by Poonam Kumari, Programme Officer of NSS Unit–1, pledging to remain informed about voting and to exercise their rights responsibly.

On January 24, a special assembly was organised in the college to highlight the importance of voting as a key duty of every responsible citizen.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Joohi Samarpita stressed that every citizen above 18 years of age must be aware of their voting rights and actively participate in elections. Vice-Principal Dr. Monica Uppal added that voting plays a crucial role in strengthening democracy.

The programme was successfully conducted with the support of Secretary Priya Dharmarajan, Joint Secretary Sudha Dilip, faculty members, and staff.
