DBMS Career Academy Jamshedpur Marks Earth Day with Creative Activities

 

Jamshedpur, April 22: DBMS Career Academy celebrated Earth Day with enthusiasm, organising a series of activities to promote environmental awareness among students. The programme began with a speech competition in Hindi and English, where students shared their views on protecting the environment and preserving the planet.

A painting competition on the theme “My Earth, My Only Home” highlighted students’ creativity and concern for nature. Participants expressed ideas of a cleaner and greener future through their artwork. A “Best Out of Waste” competition was also organised, encouraging students to reuse discarded materials and create useful items, spreading the message of recycling.

As part of the initiative, a waste collection drive was conducted, where household waste was gathered and sent for recycling or safe disposal to reduce pollution.

In the speech competition, Devanshi Devsmita secured first place, followed by Rajvardhan Gandhi, Sunny Rajveer Singh, and Umair Khan. In the painting category, Payal Manna won first prize, followed by Tanvi Jiya and Pahal Sharma. In “Best Out of Waste,” Ayank Raj won in model making, while in handicrafts, Trisha Sahu secured first place, followed by Anjali Kumari, Srijit, and Gunjan Kaur.

The event encouraged students to adopt responsible practices for protecting the environment.
