Jamshedpur: Dayanand Public School in Sakchi has announced a special fee concession scheme for meritorious students seeking admission to Class 11. The decision was taken during a recent meeting of the school management chaired by Vikay K. Mehta, Chairman of the Jamshedpur Arya Samaj Trust.
Under the scheme, students securing more than 95% marks in the ICSE Class 10 Board Examinations will receive a 30% fee concession. Those scoring above 98% will be eligible for a 50% waiver in Class 11 fees. The concession will be extended to both existing students of the school as well as external students applying for admission.
Addressing the meeting, Mehta said the school has undergone a complete upgrade in recent years, with a strong focus on improving academic standards and infrastructure. He highlighted that the school was selected under the ‘Carte Blanche’ pilot project of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, making it the only institution from Jamshedpur among 200 schools chosen across the country in the first phase.
As part of this initiative, ‘Tech Avant-Garde’ has equipped the school’s Skill Lab with 40 computer devices and provided laptops to 10 teachers, strengthening digital learning and skill-based education. The school management has been consistently working toward enhancing the overall quality of education through such initiatives.
Launching the scholarship scheme, Mehta said the move aims to reward academic excellence and encourage students to perform better. Gian Taneja, Chairman of the school’s Education Committee, stated that the initiative is designed to support deserving students by reducing financial barriers to higher education.
He added that the scheme will particularly benefit students who perform exceptionally well in the ICSE 2026 examinations and are looking to pursue further studies in Class 11.
Students interested in availing of the fee concession can submit their applications by May 15, the school management informed.
