Loco Pilot Murder Case Cracked, Contract Killing Angle Exposed in Jamshedpur

In a significant development, the Jamshedpur Police have nearly solved the sensational murder case of loco pilot G.K. Gautam, which took place under the jurisdiction of the Bagbera Police Station. After a sustained and meticulous investigation, officials have identified the shooters and traced the broader conspiracy behind the crime.

Contract Killers Trailed Victim from Station

Investigations have revealed that two bike-borne assailants had been following Gautam from the Tatanagar Railway Station itself. CCTV footage shows the suspects tracking his movements but failing to act initially due to heavy crowd presence near the Station Town Outpost.

The attackers eventually found an opportunity near a deserted stretch close to the railway lobby in the Railway Traffic Colony. At approximately 12:35 AM on April 26, they shot Gautam at point-blank range and fled the scene.

Land Dispute Emerges as Motive

Police findings indicate that the murder was a premeditated contract killing rather than a spontaneous act. The root cause is linked to a long-standing land dispute in the CP Tola area under Bagbera limits.

Rajkishore Singh, a resident of Bagbera Colony, along with his two sons, has been named as the main conspirators. All three accused are currently absconding, and police teams are conducting continuous raids to apprehend them.

Key Suspects Under Intense Interrogation

In connection with the case, more than a dozen individuals have been detained for questioning. Among them, three suspects are currently under rigorous interrogation, including the son of a constable from the Railway Protection Force posted in Ranchi.

Two other individuals, identified as Ravi and Golu from Kitadih Gwala Patti, are also being questioned. Police suspect their involvement, either directly or indirectly, in facilitating the crime.

CCTV Footage Becomes Crucial Evidence

CCTV surveillance has proven to be a decisive tool in the investigation. Footage collected from multiple locations between the railway station and the crime scene helped police identify the attackers and track the motorcycle used in the murder.

Officials confirmed that further raids are underway at suspected hideouts, and a detailed official statement is expected soon.

The killing of a loco pilot in such a brazen manner has triggered widespread fear and anger among railway employees and local residents. The incident has raised serious concerns about safety, particularly for railway personnel on duty during late hours.
