Jamshedpur, Aug 28: Dayanand Public School (DPS) reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability with a series of eco-friendly initiatives organized by its Eco Club. The event was graced by Gian Taneja, Chairman, Siksha Samiti, Rajiv Talwar, Vice Chairman, and other dignitaries, inspiring students to embrace sustainable living.

The program began with a Tree Plantation Drive, followed by the introduction of an Organic Decomposition Pit to recycle food waste, fruit peels, dry leaves, and other biodegradable matter into compost. The school also declared its campus a “No Plastic Zone”, reinforcing its stand against plastic pollution.
Students showcased their creativity and awareness through slogan writing and poster making competitions on the theme “Ban Plastic – Save Earth.”
Commending the efforts, Gian Taneja emphasized that true education must include environmental responsibility, while Rajiv Talwar appreciated the school’s hands-on approach to instilling eco-conscious values.
The day concluded with students taking a pledge to protect the environment and promote eco-friendly practices. With its initiatives, Dayanand Public School continued to set an example in nurturing environmentally responsible citizens.
