DBMS Kadma School hosts English elocution contest

Jamshedpur, Aug 28: The young orators of DBMS Kadma High School showcased their eloquence and confidence at the Annual English Elocution Competition, Flights of Fantasy, held on Thursday. Students from Nursery to Std XII took part in the contest, which featured events such as choral recitation, poetry, storytelling, declamation, and TEC Talks.

The competition saw enthusiastic participation across all levels, offering a platform for students to enhance their communication and presentation skills. The judges for the occasion were Akanksha Sharma from St. Mary’s High School, Mita Mishra from Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya, and Himani Shah from DAV NIT, who commended the participants for their engaging delivery and confidence.

In the choral recitation category, Nursery D, UKG B, Std II C, and Std IV C emerged winners. In individual events, Avni Bansal (Std 6A), Shreya Gupta (6D), and Ananya Srivastava (6C) excelled in recitation. In storytelling for Std VII–VIII, Rima Kar (8A) secured first place, followed by Zainab Khan (7B) and Priyasha Ghosh (7B). For declamation in Std IX–X, Bidisha Biswal (10B) bagged the top spot, while Akshat Shreya (10A) and Almash Qaiser (9D) stood second and third. In the TEC Talk category for Std XI–XII, Subhasni Singh (11B) won first place, with Sayar Dutta (12A) and Arman Pratap (11D) finishing as runners-up.

The event was graced by School Managing Committee members including Joint Secretary Usha Malini, P.S. Aruna (Joint Treasurer) , Principal Gurpreet Bhambra, Vice Principals Suparna Roy and S. Shireen, along with parents, teachers, and students.
