Jamshedpur, Aug 28: The traditional Ghat Snan (Bhandan Um) ritual was performed on Thursday at the residence of late former Education Minister Ramdas Soren in Ghorabandha, under the supervision of Majhi Baba. The ritual, held at Ghorabandha Check Dam at 4 pm, witnessed relatives and guests presenting new clothes to the family members of the late leader, followed by customary tribal practices invoking deities. A large number of villagers participated.
On Friday, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, cabinet ministers, MLAs, and senior leaders will attend the Shraddha Bhoj, to be held at Ghorabandha football ground, where extensive arrangements have been made for thousands of visitors.
