Jamshedpur, June 11: DAV Centre for Academic Excellence under the aegis of DAV CMC, New Delhi conducted the second day of the In-service Teachers’ Training Workshop for Capacity Building for teachers teaching Classes III to VIII in Regional Training Centre, Jamshedpur Zone at DAV Bistupur on Saturday. �
Capacity building program for English was attended by 54 teachers and it dealt with reading and writing skills, question forming and Bloom’s Taxonomy and a session on teaching of prose and poetry.
In social science, 51 teachers attended the program which dealt with challenge in teaching social science and child pedagogy.
In computer science, 30 teachers attended the session which dealt with MS-Office packages, Web designing, standardization of blue print and designing of question paper.
In science, 65 teachers grappled with topics like power of question, innovation in science and design and development of activities. In the mathematics session, 52 teachers attended the brainstorming on subjects like number system; mensuration and framing of question paper were conducted.
In Hindi, 52 teachers attended the program which dealt with grammatical usage, make sentences and compound sentences.
It is noteworthy to add that all sessions in various subjects were conducted by resource persons with proven expertise from the ranks of the DAV family.
The second day’s workshop came to an end with the feedback session.
