Noamundi, Jan. 12: Tata DAV Public School, Noamundi celebrated 153rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda with fervour on Tuesday.
The principal, teacher and students paid floral tribute to the portrait of Swami Vivekanada. Addressing the gathering, principal T K Mishra said, Swami was a great saint, eloquent speaker, social reformist and great educationist and his idea gave new direction to the world.
Though Swami Ji is not present physically but his noble Ideas remained as a perennial source of inspiration for the humanity.
The students- Naxatra Joshi and Pranav Kumar explained the life history and work of Swami Ji . Music Teacher Rasmi Bhattacharya presented a chorus song with the students on the lyrics based on Swami ji.
The students who won in school science fete were awarded on the occasion. The function was anchored by a student Isha Priyashi.
