Jamshedpur, June 21: International Day of Yoga, celebrated worldwide on 21st of June, an insightful idea started by our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
The day started with a healthy and fit pledge taken by the students of DAV Public School, Bistupur. The Day was also celebrated in the school premises along with students, teacher Pratibha Singh and Yoga Instuctor Geeta Devi.
The Principal Pragya Singh, encouraged the habit of Yoga and graced the event with her words about the benefits of Yoga and how it helps us to develop both mentally and physically.
There were a total of 17 Yogasanas practiced in this event under the guidance of sports teachers Arvind Singh, Dhananjay and Nikunja Kishore.
The programme ended with a token of gratitude presented to instructors Pratibha Singh and Geeta Devi.
A gathering of 300 students along with 15 teachers joined the Yoga enthusiasts at Gopal Maidan sharp at 6.00 a.m. to celebrate the joy of a healthy lifestyle also.
The programme started at 6.30 a.m. along with the instructions from disciples of Art of Living. The main Yogasana started sharp at 7.00 a.m. matching the time all across the country.
