Chaibasa, Feb. 14: Eight persons with lethal weapons and wearing masks bumped into the house of one Shailendra Kumar Balmuchu located at Tata Chaibasa Main Road in Shikuri Sai village under the Muffasil police station area here on Sunday around 2:30 a.m. and robbed Rs 5 lakh worth jewelry and Rs 70,000 in cash.
The family members said that the culprits first tied them up with rope and threatened to kill everyone if they raised an alarm.
Following the departure of the robbers, the family members informed the police and the police team came to the residence to investigate the case.
Majhgaon MLA Niral Purty was also present with the police team at the residence.
