Jamshedpur: Cyrus P Mistry, chairman of Tata Sons visited Tata Motors plant on Tuesday. He was accompanied by A B Lall, Head Jamshedpur Plant and S B Borwankar, ED Quality Tata Motors, on the second day of his visit to the city.
The visit started with Technical Training Centre where Mistry met the trainees and encouraged them towards skill enhancement and quality. This was followed by a visit to the safety centre to take an account of the progress made in the safety excellence journey and the way forward.
Mistry emphasised on the importance of learning and sharing with other locations in the areas of safety. He reviewed the plant�s progress on its world class quality initiative and the new MandHCV models developed recently for customers including international markets.
The Tata Sons chairman met Chandrabhan Prasad, general secretary, TWU and other union colleagues of the plant and thanked them for their contributions towards safety and quality journey and sought their continued support to help Tata Motors face the tougher competitive scenario. After lunch, he spent time with the dealers of commercial and passenger vehicle business of Tata Motors.
