Jamshedpur, May 12: Nurses who are known as the back bone of the health care sector. On the ocassion of International Nurses Day on May 12 several programs are organised all over the world.
At Tata Motors Hospital in Telco cultural programs along with song and dance competition was held were nurses of the hospital participated in the event.
The program began with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest for the ocassion, K Mohan Kumar Senior GM (Manufacturing), Tata Motors.
General Secretary of Telco Workrers Union, Chandrabhan Singh was present as the Guest of Honour. Different programs were orgainsed were the main focus was on song and dance competition which left the audience spell bound. Quiz and games were also held and the winners were felicitated.
The program was corordinated by Sister Elizabeth, Head of Nurses at the hospital were GM Hospital Dr. Ali, Surgical head Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Dr. P Makopadhyay and others were present.
The day is observed every year on the 12 May on anniversary of birth of Florence Nightingale�s birth. The day is observed to mark contributions of nurses towards people�s health.
