Jamshedpur: Ongoing non-interlocking (NI) work in Chakradharpur Railway Division has prompted changes in the schedule of several important trains. The Railways has issued advance notifications to passengers to minimize inconvenience.
As per officials, the 12261 Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT)–Howrah Express, originally scheduled to depart on September 9, 2025 at 5:15 pm, will now depart on September 10, 2025 at 12:20 pm.
Similarly, two trips of the 12221 Pune–Howrah Express have been rescheduled. The train that was to leave Pune at 3:15 pm on September 1, 2025, will now depart at 8:30 pm, while its September 8, 2025 trip will also leave at 8:30 pm instead of 3:15 pm.
Railway authorities have advised passengers to check revised timings before travel through the official website, helpline 139, or customer service numbers.
Officials clarified that the changes were temporary and aimed at ensuring smooth completion of technical work. Train services will resume normal schedules once the NI work concludes.
