Criminal arrested with fake pistol and live cartridges in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Oct 23: The Jugsalai police arrested Saif Ali alias Raju Bachcha, who was allegedly extorting people while threatening them with a toy pistol. The police recovered a fake pistol and two live cartridges from his possession. The accused had already served jail terms in cases of extortion, firing, theft and assault. He is a resident of Kapali OP area of ​​Seraikela-Kharsawan district. He was arrested by the Jugsalai police on receipt of confidential information.

Jugsalai police station in-charge Tarun Kumar said that the police had received information about a criminal carrying a pistol moving in Millatnagar and Shiv Ghat areas.A police team was formed and raids were conducted in Shiv Ghat area. The criminal was chased and caught by the police near the dumping yard. Two live cartridges of eight mm each and a plastic fiber toy pistol were recovered from his possession. The toy pistol recovered was an almost replica of a real pistol.

 During interrogation, Saif Ali alias Raju Bachcha told police that he was roaming in Millatnagar and Shiv Ghat localities with the intent of scaring people with the toy pistol and collect money. An FIR has been registered against the accused in Jugsalai police station for illegal possession of live cartridges. Sub Inspector Raju Kumar Gupta, Rishikesh Kumar Singh, Jitendra Kumar, Vivek Kumar and other policemen were members of the team that arrested Saif Ali alias Raju Bachcha.
