Jamshedpur, July 18: After a brief protest, cremation of bodies resumed at the Parvati Ghatin Bistupur from today following police patrolling started from this morning.
The staff of the burning ghat had stopped cremation after the ghat’s manager Surojit Sarkar (56) was murdered by a former staff Bharat Gaur on Saturday morning. In protest of the murder, all the 14 staff of the burning ghat had stopped cremation there for the past two days in protest.
They met the East Singhbhum deputy commmissioner, Amit Kumar demanding proper security for them who assured them of proper action
