MNAC holds meeting to plan anti-encroachment measures

Jamshedpur: Mango Notified Area Committee (MNAC) has set the ball rolling to free the streets of Mango from encroachment by initiating steps aimed at punishing the encroachers and taking exemplary action against them.

In view of the growing problem of encroachment on roads, the special officer of MNAC, Sanjay Kumar, held a meeting with DSP traffic Vivekanand Thakur, officer in-chrage of Mango PS, Arun Kumar Mahatha, officer in-charge of Olidih PS, Mukesh Kumar and MNAC city manager S Rehman.

At the meeting, it was decided to impose fine on vehicles parked recklessly on roads. The goods kept on roads by shopkeepers and vendors would also be confiscated, officials decided at the meeting.

The officials also agreed to intensify a campaign to keep Mango clean through a continuous campaign. After the meeting, they visited Mango vegetable market and appealed to the roadside vendors to conduct their daily business at Mango Haat.
