Jamshedpur, Feb 25: The First Judicial Magistrate, Jyotsna Pandey, has issued an order to register an FIR against Gurjinder Kaur, the operator of Matrona Beauty Parlor in Kagalnagar market, Sonari, Jamshedpur. The order comes in response to a complaint filed by a local resident who alleged that objectionable videos were recorded in the girls’ changing room of the beauty parlor.
According to the complainant, who had taken his newlywed wife to Matrona Beauty Parlor for wedding reception preparations, the incident occurred when he left his wife there for bridal makeup. After about an hour, the wife called her husband, tearfully revealing that CCTV cameras installed inside the beauty parlor had recorded videos of the bridal makeup and other activities, including changing clothes. Disturbed by the discovery of the camera, the wife immediately informed her husband.
Despite reporting the incident to the local police without any action taken, the complainant sought legal recourse through advocate Ravi Shankar Pandey. Subsequently, the court invoked its powers under Section 156(3) of the Indian Penal Code and directed the registration of an FIR against the accused beauty parlor operator.
Advocate Ravi Shankar Pandey emphasized the importance of dealing sternly with anti-social and criminal elements, stating that such actions contribute to women’s safety and empowerment. He highlighted the need to foster a sense of security and self-respect among women in society for the overall well-being of the community and the nation.
