Constitution Day celebrated with enthusiasm at Seraikela Court

Jamshedpur, Nov 26: Constitution Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Seraikela Civil Court on Saturday. A programme was organized to mark the day on the court premises under the aegis of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Seraikela. It started at 10.30 am with the mass oath taking ceremony. All judicial officers, members of District Bar Association and para-legal volunteers took the oath of the Preamble of Constitution.

Addressing the gathering, District and Sessions Judge Amit Shekhar said the Constitution was the soul of all laws and appealed to all those present to imbibe its lofty ideals and values.

Also speaking on the occasion, DLSA secretary said today’s day was significant from historic point of view. He said all citizens should align their thoughts and acts as per the Constitution. He said all citizens should unite and take a pledge to take the country forward.

A vote of thanks was proposed by the Principal Family Judge I Rajkamal Mishra. He said the Constitution of India was not just a book but akin to a religious scripture.

District Bar Association president Prabhat Kumar, secretary Devashish Jyotishi and senior advocate KP Dubey also addressed the gathering.

Meanwhile, a similar programme was organized in the legal faculty of Arka Jain University.

Seraikela District Bar Association observes Constitution Day

Seraikela, Nov 26: District Bar Association, Seraikela-Kharsawan, celebrated Constitution Day at the Bar Building on the Civil Court premises here on Saturday. The chief guest of the occasion was the Principal Family Judge Rajkamal Mishra. He, along with other judicial officers, Bar functionaries and members jointly inaugurated the programme. Tributes were paid to the luminaries who drafted the Constitution and gave it its present form and features. Members of the Bar read out the Preamble to the Constitution along with other guests and took a pledge to uphold the lofty ideals enshrined in the Constitution.

Other dignitaries present during the programme included ADJ II Kankan Pattadar, ACJM Kavitanjali Toppo, SDJM SK Pingua, Bar president Prabhat Kumar and vice president Om Prakash.
