Programme aims to nurture future IIT, NEET toppers
Jamshedpur, April 26: Narayana IIT/NEET Academy has announced the launch of its first Foundation Centre of Excellence (CoE) campus for the eastern region in Jamshedpur. The centre will cater to students from Jharkhand, Bihar, and Odisha and will focus on building a strong academic base for competitive exams.
The institute, located in Sakchi, has already been running its CoE programme for Classes 11 and 12 successfully for the past three years. Now, the foundation programme will target younger students moving from Class 8 to Class 10.
According to Sanjay Kumar Ranjan, Director of the Narayana Jamshedpur Centre, the programme will select 40 students—20 boys and 20 girls—through a multi-stage process that includes entrance tests and interviews conducted by subject experts.
Selected students will attend classes four days a week. The programme will include regular academic sessions, doubt-clearing classes, working sessions, and weekly tests to monitor progress. Along with academics, the institute will also focus on the overall mental development of students by providing a supportive learning environment.
Ranjan said that the programme has already proven effective at the national level, helping students secure top ranks in exams such as Olympiads, NSEJS, IIT, and NEET.
He also highlighted the success of Mukul Mahato from Narayana Jamshedpur, who emerged as the Kolhan topper in JEE Main 2026 after being part of the programme.
The institute aims to equip students with strong fundamentals, discipline, and skills needed to excel in competitive examinations and achieve long-term academic success.
