Ranchi: The president of Jharkhand state women�s Congress committee Abha Sinha today criticized Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav for making the controversial statement regarding punishment to rape victims.
She said Yadav had tried to undermine the heinous crime of rape by saying that some youths often made such �mistakes�.
She said Yadav should not have made such an irresponsible remark. Sinha said the statement spoke volumes of the way Yadav looked at rape and other crimes against women.
She said the statement was highly condemnable.
