Jamshedpur, May 4. A written complaint has been made by Mukesh Mittal, vice president of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industries, to the East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Vijaya Jadhav against the corruption prevalent in the Jamshedpur circle office in Karandih.
Jamshedpur circle office has arrangements for settlement of government works of general public, where caste proof, income certificate, residential certificate, land-house purchase-sale jamabandi and other certificates are also made on the application of the people according to their requirement.
But complaints have been received that when the general public goes to the office for these certificates, money is demanded from them, which is not fair at all. This shows that the circle office has become a den of corruption.
Mukesh Mittal said that if a common man gets treatment for a patient of his family under the Chief Minister’s Critical Illness Scheme, then he needs an income certificate, but on going to the circle office to get the income certificate, money is also demanded from him.
According to Mukesh Mittal, there is a need to end such illegal practice prevailing in the Circle Office. He has requested the DC to take necessary steps in this direction in public interest and take appropriate action to make the circle office corruption free.
