College teacher found dead in locked room at Jamshedpur Co-operative College

Police break open door after no response; investigation underway to determine cause of death

Jamshedpur: A sensation spread across Jamshedpur Co-operative College on Saturday after the body of a college teacher, Bhim Ram (40), was found inside his locked residential quarters. Police from Bistupur station broke open the door and recovered the body, launching an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
According to reports, the room had been locked from inside since Friday. When there was no movement or response until Saturday, neighbors grew suspicious. After repeated knocks went unanswered, locals informed the police. Upon reaching the spot, police broke open the door and found the teacher lying on a sofa inside the room.
Bhim Ram, a native of Babura village in Bihar’s Arrah district, had reportedly been under mental stress for some time. His wife had passed away about two years ago, after which he became increasingly withdrawn and less communicative. Colleagues and acquaintances had noticed a significant change in his behavior following the tragedy.
Police officials stated that no external injury marks were found on the body. There were also no immediate signs indicating poisoning or foul play. However, the exact cause of death remains unclear.
The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and the police are awaiting the report to determine whether the death was due to a heart attack, illness, or other reasons. Officials said the case is being investigated from all possible angles.
