Ranchi, Nov. 11: Chief Minister Raghubar Das today reviewed the ongoing preparations for Jharkhand�s Establishment Day (15th November) and directed the state officials of various departments to ensure its timely completion.
He said the foundation day anniversary should be celebrated with enthusiasm. The programme will be conducted from 13th to 15th November and the city will be decorated. Lighting will be the highlight of the event going to be organized at the Morabadi ground.
The main programme will be conducted on 15th November and more than 36,000 people will be handed over employment letter.
Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu will inaugurate this festival and the Union Minister for Road, Transport, Highway and Shipping Nitin Gadkari will be the chief guest. The CM will preside over the programme. Union Ministers from Jharkhand Jayant Sinha and Sudarshan Bhagat, all ministers of the state government, MPs, MLAs and other dignitaries will participate in the programme.
Apart from distributing appointment letters, the government will also give forest right patta (lease) to 5000 people and distribute 35 lakh durable mosquito nets.
Chhau and Paika folk songs will be performed on the occasion. Artists of Goa will give their performance with local artists. Thereafter, famous play back singer Sunidhi Chouhan will perform on the stage.
A development fair will be organized at the Morabadi ground with stalls of corporate houses. Refreshment stalls will also be arranged with all sorts of cuisines.
Children will participate in Prabhat Pheri and toffees and t-shirts will be distributed among children. Morabadi ground is being decorated for the purpose. Sohrai paintings will be displayed.
The Programme will start on the evening of 13th November. Rural Development Minister Nilkanth Singh Munda will inaugurate the fair.
Professional painters will make painting at Audrey House and selected paintings will be printed on the government calendar.
On 14th November, a painting competition will be conducted at the Birsa Munda Stadium where school children will showcase their talent. The winners will be awarded by the CM on 15th November. The cultural programme in the evening will be inaugurated by Art and Culture Minister Amar Kumar Bauri.
Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma, Additional Chief Secretary Amit Khare, DGP D. K. Pandey, Additional Chief Secretary, Energy R K Srivastava, Principal Secretary to the CM Sanjay Kumar, Rural Development Principal Secretary N N Sinha, Personnel Principal Secretary Nidhi Khare, School Education Secretary Aradhana Patnaik, Commercial Tax Secretary K K Khandelwal, DC and SP of Ranchi and other officers were present in the meeting.
