Jamshedpur: Bansi Bose Music Foundation will organize its annual classical soiree, �Swar Yatra,� at Michael John Auditorium on February 23 from 6 pm.
Being organized since 2013 to draw more youth into the classical music fold, this annual event has gained popularity among music lovers. Founded in memory of renowned Sitar maestro of the city, the late Bansi Bose, the Foundation has been host to many classical vocal and instrumental artistes of national and international repute through the years since its inception.
This year too will not be any different. �Swar Yatra� will commence with the lighting of lamps before the pictures of Goddess Saraswati and Bansi Bose. The first presentation will be a vocal, Khayal recital by Vidushi Mira Banerjee�s disciple Vidushi Anjana Nath of the Patiala Gharana. Anjana is the recipient of two national awards. Shubho Jyoti Guha will accompany her on the tabla while Jyotirmoy Banerjee will be on the harmonium.
Famous sarod player Debanjan Bhattacharjee will present Dhrupad. Nishant Singh will accompany him on the pakhawaj.
