Jamshedpur, Dec 19: Under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Anjila Gupta, a special lecture was organised for students of the Chemistry Department at Jamshedpur Women’s University. The programme was supported by Registrar Dr. Salomi Kujur and conducted under the leadership of Dr. Annapurna Jha, Head of the Department and Chief Vigilance Coordinator.

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Saswati Chakladhar, a resource person from Tata Steel, on the topic “From Carbohydrate Chemistry to Blast Furnace – My Transformative Journey.” During the session, Dr. Chakladhar shared insights into different fields of chemistry, the importance of green chemistry in energy conservation, and opportunities for industrial training at various institutions.
Dr. Annapurna Jha, Assistant Professor Dr. Sarita Kumari, non-teaching staff members Bhim Sen Puran and Nisha Singh, along with students of the Chemistry Department, were present during the lecture. The session proved informative and inspiring for aspiring chemistry professionals.
