Jamshedpur: BJP leader Abhay Singh has been acquitted in a decade-old case related to the violation of the election code of conduct. The Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court in Jamshedpur dismissed the charges against him in GR Case No. 3746/2014, which had been pending for almost 10 years.
The case was filed during the assembly elections, accusing Singh of violating the election code of conduct. After prolonged legal proceedings, the court ruled on Wednesday, citing insufficient evidence, and acquitted Singh of all charges.
Speaking on the verdict, Abhay Singh expressed his relief, stating, “Justice has finally been served after 10 years. We have been proven innocent, and this brings us great happiness. It shows that justice, although delayed, is ultimately delivered.”
