Chitragupta Puja celebrated in Gamharia

Gamharia: Chitragupta Pujnotsav was organized with pomp and fanfare in Gamharia under the aegis of Chitragupta Mahasamiti on Saturday. A large number of devotees participated in the puja. After puja and aarti, prasad was distributed among the devotees. Bhaiyya Dooj was also celebrated with great fervour in Gamharia, Kandra and other parts of the district. Sisters prayed for the long life of their brothers and performed the rituals in a traditional manner. Brothers too, gave gifts to their sisters and took pledge to protect them. Mouthwatering delicacies were prepared in the households in view of the festivities.
