Jamshedpur: Seraikela-Kharsawan district administration launched the sixth phase of anti-encroachment drive in Adityapur industrial area on Saturday. Encroachment was removed from government land despite continuous rains. The circle officer of Gamharia, Kamini Kaushal Lakra, led the anti-encroachment exercise.
She said a wall had been constructed by encroachers on a plot adjoining the plot allotted to Bhagirathi Enterprises. The DC Chhavi Ranjan had issued orders to remove encroachment from the said plot. He also ordered prosecution of those involved in encroachment.
The circle officer said a list of encroachers had been prepared by the administration. Action would be intensified against the encroachers after Chhath Puja.
A huge deployment of police officers and local administration officials was made during the anti-encroachment drive today.
