Cheshire home celebrates Christmas, Santa spreads message of cashless transaction

Jamshedpur : Cheshire Home, a centre for specially-abled children organised a function to mark Christmas and New Year.

On the occasion, Sharad Singh, DGM of Tata Motors and AGM Shishir Sinha, Ranjit Dhar and social worker Bailey Bodhanwala inaugurated the function. On the occasion, Pappu Sardar, the well-known fan of the Bollywood heartthrob Madhuri Dixit spread joy. Dressed like Santa Claus as part of the celebration he distributed chocolates and gifts.

He also distributed gifts among the needy and sought blessings from them.

On the occasion, following call of the Prime Minister, ‘Santa’ motivated people to follow cashless transaction. He appreciated the initiative taken to ban Rs 500 and 1000 rupee notes. He said that the Government has taken right step to curb black money. Pappu also distributed his poem on demonetization in form of greeting cards among those present.

Others present on the occasion, Shivangi Adhikari, Anjali Agrawal, Karan, Swati, Shreya Das, Ayush Agrawal and Shreya Gupta also appreciated the step taken to ban notes and said it will end divide between rich and poor.

It may be mentioned that Pappu has been celebrating Madhuri’s Birthday since mid-90s and shot into the limelight for his attraction towards the actress. In 2008 he even got the opportunity to meet Madhuri. Moreover, his day begin with offering pujas for the actress.

“I think it is the love of the people that have inspired me to carry the celebrations. I try to spread smiles among the needy,” said Pappu.
