Jamshedpur, August 19: Former CM of the state Champai Soren has adopted an aggressive stance. He has opened a front against the grand alliance government of the state. Champai Soren has announced that he will support the farmers of Nagdi.
On August 24, he will join the ‘Hal Joto, Ropa Ropo’ movement of the villagers. He will plough the land proposed for RIMS 2. He said that in this case the Land Acquisition Act of 2013, CNT Act and Gram Sabha rules have not been followed. He was talking to the media on Tuesday.
Champai Soren has accused the grand alliance government of the state of being anti-tribal. He said that the government is ignoring the interests of the tribals and is trying to snatch their land.
Champai alleged that the government is taking the land of the tribals in an unfair manner for the construction of RIMS 2. He raised the question that when the government has hundreds of acres of land available in the smart city, then why does the government want to snatch the land of the tribals? Farmers in Nagdi had done farming till last year, but now they have been stopped from going there by fencing the land.
Champai Soren raised the question that when no legal process of acquisition has been completed, then on what basis was the order issued to stop the farmers from farming. The government is ignoring the rights of the tribals and trying to snatch their land.
Champai Soren raised questions on the encounter of Surya Hansda and said that this case should be investigated by the CBI. He said that Surya was a tribal, so he was killed.
