Ranchi: Jharkhand cadre IPS officer Kuldeep Dwivedi has been appointed as Joint Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Along with him, Assam-Meghalaya cadre officer C. Venkata Subba Reddy has also been given the same posting. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued the order, which has also been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
Dwivedi, a 2005-batch officer of the Jharkhand cadre, was earlier serving as DIG in the CBI. His new tenure as Joint Director will continue for five years, until 17 January 2029.
Similarly, C. Venkata Subba Reddy, a 2007-batch IPS officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, was also working as DIG in the CBI before this appointment. His deputation as Joint Director has been approved for a period of five years, up to 29 October 2029.
