Gamharia, Feb 17: Chief Electoral Officer of Jharkhand K Ravi Kumar visited Gamharia block on Thursday to spread awareness on National Voter Awareness Contest. He went to Mangalam City and Vinayak Garden Society in Adityapur and interacted with the residents. He said the contest was aimed at raising awareness on voting among the people. The contest is open for the common man. Professionals can also participate, he said.
Kumar said the participants can send their entries on the government website. The winners from all the districts would be felicitated by the government, he said.
Kumar later informed that certain anomalies were found in few areas during the inspection of electoral rolls.
Seraikela SDO Ram Krishna Kumar, district returning officer Priyanka Singh, Gamharia BDO Maruti Minj, CO Manoj Kumar and several other district administration officials were also present on this occasion.
