CBSE Class 12: Jamshedpur science topper Mayank aims for R&D career

Jamshedpur, July 13: Mayank Kumar Panda has bagged the first position in Jamshedpur (Science) in CBSE Class 12 exam, the result of which was announced on Monday afternoon.

Son of Tata Bluescope employee Pradeep Kumar, Mayank scored 97.2 % marks is aiming for a career in Research and development (R&D) after completing his engineering from IIT Bombay.

‘I was aiming to get good marks in my class 12 and now my focus have shifted completely on preparing for JEE Exam which has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I want to get into the top institute of the country and take up Computer Science at IIT Bombay which would help me in achieving my dream career in Research and development (R&D)’, said Mayank.

He is the only child of his parents. His mother Mamta Panda is a housewife. “I always set small targets and prepare for it and pointed out that studying for long hours does not helps but studying for short durations helps in maintaining concentration which helps one score well in exams.”
