Jamshedpur: Sadar Hospital is expanding its facilities to provide better healthcare services to patients. After introducing diabetes checkups, the hospital is now set to start heart patient examinations. Civil Surgeon Dr. Sahir Pal announced, “We will soon start a Heart OPD in the hospital. The appointment process for two cardiologists is already underway.”
In addition to cardiology services, the hospital has recruited five new doctors to strengthen its general medical care. Dr. Pal also revealed that surgeries can now be performed at Sadar Hospital, with a dedicated surgeon recently appointed. “This step ensures patients won’t need to travel to other cities for basic surgeries,” he added.
Specialist doctors in gynaecology, paediatrics and orthopaedics will also be appointed at various community health centres across the district. Interviews for these posts are scheduled for January 23. This initiative aims to make quality healthcare accessible to rural areas.
Local residents have welcomed the upgrades. Rajesh Singh, a patient’s family member, said, “These developments will save us time and money, as we no longer need to visit private clinics for specialized treatments.”
Sadar Hospital’s modernization is seen as a significant step toward improving public healthcare in the region.
