Jamshedpur, Jan 23: Ashok Bhalotia, former President of the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and a prominent industrialist from Jamshedpur, passed away on Thursday at a hospital in Kolkata. He was 65 and had been unwell for the past six months. Bhalotia breathed his last at 4 a.m. His body is expected to arrive in Jamshedpur late Thursday evening, with the final rites scheduled for Friday.

Bhalotia served as the SCCI President from 2017 to 2021, earning respect for his contributions to the business community. Current Chamber President Vijay Anand Moonka expressed condolences, praising his leadership and dedication. His death marks a significant loss for the local industrial and business fraternity.
