Jamshedpur, May 26: Passengers travelling via the Chakradharpur Division of the South Eastern Railway should prepare for disruptions as several trains will be cancelled, rescheduled, or short-terminated due to intensive track renewal work underway between Sini and Gamharia on the Howrah–Mumbai main line. To facilitate the renewal, machine blocks are being scheduled regularly, with a three-hour block every Monday for the Down Line and every Friday for the Up Line. Additionally, the previously ongoing Saturday TRT block will also continue.

As part of the operational changes, train number 68046/68045 (ASN–ADRA–ASN MEMU Passenger) will remain cancelled on May 26, 27, 29, 30, 31 and June 1, 2025. Similarly, the 18019/18020 (JGM–DHN–JGM Express) will not operate on May 26 and May 29. Several trains will operate on shortened routes. Train number 68056/68060 (TATA–ASN–BBM MEMU Passenger) will be short-terminated at ADRA on May 27, 28 and June 1, with services between ADRA and ASN remaining suspended. Likewise, train 68079/68080 (BJE–CRP–BJE MEMU Passenger) will be short-terminated at MHQ on May 30 and June 1, cancelling the service between MHQ and CRP.

Rescheduling is also part of the temporary changes. Train number 18035 (KGP–HTE Express) will depart Kharagpur two hours later than scheduled on May 26, 29 and 30. Its return service, train number 18036 (HTE–KGP Express), will be delayed by two hours from Hatia on May 27, 31 and June 1.

Further, three MEMU train services from Tatanagar will remain cancelled on specific days as a result of these maintenance blocks. The 68044/68043 (TATA–Rourkela–TATA MEMU) will not operate every Monday and Friday on dates including May 26, 30 and June 2, 6, 9, 13, 16, 20, 23, 27 and 30. Similarly, the 68126/68125 (TATA–Barbil–TATA MEMU) will be cancelled every Monday and Saturday on dates including May 26, 31 and June 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 23, 28 and 30. The 68003/68004 (TATA–Gua–TATA MEMU) is also cancelled on the same Monday and Friday schedule.

Railway authorities have advised passengers to check train timings and cancellations in advance to avoid inconvenience during this period of essential infrastructure upgrades.
