Chandil: Security was tightened along Jharkhand-West Bengal border areas near Seraikela-Kharsawan in view of Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal on Wednesday.
A special campaign was launched by the district police in Tiruldih, Nimdih and other adjoining areas. No untoward incident was reported anywhere, police said.
The condition of one Sujit Oraon, a district police jawan, worsened during the day. He was taken to Chandil health centre for treatment.
