Campaign launched against illegal sand mining

Seraikela : A team of mining department of Seraikela-Kharsawan carried out a campaign against unauthorized sand mining in the district on Sunday. Several boats, machines and equipments were seized during a raid conducted on the banks of Kharkai river near Itagarh Ghat. The unauthorized sand miners however managed to evade arrest. SDO Seraikela Sudip Dubey said an inquiry is on to identify the culprits involved in illegal sand mining in the area.
