Jamshedpur, May 29: A short English film, �Why Me?� written and to be directed by ADLS Sunshine School principal Indrani Singh will go on floor from Thursday, May 30 and the shoot will continue till June 1.
Speaking during a press meet held in a Bistupur hotel, Indrani Singh informed, �I have been thinking on the storyline since the last three years. In my career as a teacher, I have encountered cases of acute depression and loneliness in children. Parental disputes, fights and physical attacks on mothers by drunken fathers have been major causes of mental misery among these children. The fight through these mental blockades and coming out through the bleak tunnel to the ultimate light is the crux of the story.�
Popular film director and chief of Take5 Communications of Kolkata, Tathagata Bhattacherjee said that he and his team would be providing the total technical support. �The entire film will be shot in Jamshedpur and post production work will be done in Kolkata,� he informed.
Tata Steel�s Corporate Communication, Safety, Health and Sustainability is producing this film. Others adding support to this ambitious project include educationist Lalita Sarin, entrepreneur, social worker, musician and prominent citizen Ronald D�Costa, ADL Society general secretary, Majji Ravi Kumar and ADL Sunshine School secretary Nagesh Rao also spoke at the press meet.
Professional actors from Kolkata Jayanta Chatterjee and Anuradha Das will perform in this short film while six year old std I student of ADLS Sunshine School Shilpa Bishwamitra is to be the child artiste.
