Short film by Indrani Singh to be shot in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: In today�s world of women�s empowerment, Indrani Singh, present Principal of ADLS Sunshine School, Jamshedpur, is all set to make an English short film on a social awareness theme which she intends to showcase at various film festivals across the globe and organize talk shows and open forums based on the film and the issues addressed therein.

The film is conceptualized and is to be directed by Indrani Singh. It depicts the evils of domestic violence and its severe consequences on the future generation. The

narrative of the film features how traumatic and undesirable circumstances

strengthen the spirit to fight against all odds and ensure everlasting happiness

and prosperity in our lives. The script traces the journey of a young woman who despite being a victim of domestic violence battles with her life and emerges victorious.

The film will be shot in Jamshedpur and Kolkata based Take5

Communications, the house behind the steel city�s annual short film festival

SHORTS, will provide the technical support for the short film. The lead cast and main crew are from Kolkata while the supporting cast and crew are from Jamshedpur. The shoot dates of the film, tentatively titled WHY ME?, are May 30, 31 and June 01, 2019.
