Jamshedpur: Suresh Sonthalia, National Joint General Secretary of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), described the Union Budget 2026 as a visionary, inclusive and decisive document that strongly advances India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat @2047.
He said the Budget reflects a fine balance of forward-looking vision, practical policy-making and economic empowerment, making it a truly authentic and inclusive blueprint for growth.
Sonthalia highlighted that several budget provisions align closely with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swadeshi call, which will significantly strengthen India’s exports and help Indian products access new global markets.
He cited the recent EU trade agreement, noting that Tata Steel’s Jamshedpur unit stands to benefit through zero-duty export of green steel.
CAIT leader Bharat Vasani termed the budget a strong reflection of Prime Minister Modi’s decisive and farsighted leadership, under which India continues to progress despite global economic challenges. He said the inclusive approach, clear direction and actionable roadmap will further reinforce the country’s economic foundations.
Kishor Golchha of CAIT said the budget sends a positive and confidence-boosting message to traders, entrepreneurs, investors and especially MSMEs.
Anand Chaudhary, iron trader, and CA Ajay Goyal added that the emphasis on empowering every section of society alongside economic growth makes the budget distinctive.
Highlighting the special focus on MSMEs, CAIT’s Saurabh Sharma said provisions such as easier credit access, simplified compliance, digital empowerment, technological upgradation and formalisation will play a crucial role in taking small industries and traders to new heights.
Mahesh Sonthalia and Pawan Sharma remarked that MSMEs are the backbone of the Indian economy, and the Budget announcements will be decisive in boosting employment, entrepreneurship and global competitiveness of Indian products.
CA Dilip Golchha and advocate Piyush Chaudhary pointed out that sustained focus on infrastructure development, logistics efficiency, manufacturing, exports, the digital economy and consumption-led growth will bring wide-ranging benefits to trade and commerce.
Summing up, Satyanarayan Agrawal and Shantanu Ghosh said the budget is a strong step towards building a self-reliant, competitive and inclusive India, presenting a clear roadmap to realise the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
