Jamshedpur, July 6: A major theft was reported from Zone 1 in Birsanagar early Sunday morning when burglars broke into the house of Swaroop Kumar Biswas and stole an Alto car, cash and gold earrings.
The family was away at a hospital after Swaroop’s elder brother suffered a heart attack on Saturday night. When they returned around 5 a.m. on Sunday, they found the main gate lock broken and their home ransacked. The burglars had also broken a side wall to remove the parked car. Swaroop said, “They took advantage of our absence and not only looted valuables but even crashed through our wall to steal the car.”
Police have registered an FIR against unknown persons and are scanning CCTV footage from nearby areas. The theft has left residents shaken, raising concerns over local security
