Akshar International School trains village women

 

Jamshedpur, April 2: A three-day Teachers Training Workshop was organised at Akshar International School in Jamshedpur under the joint initiative of the school and Jamshedpur Women’s Club. The programme is part of the school’s CSR efforts aimed at empowering rural women through skill development.

The workshop saw the participation of over 50 intermediate-level female students from Kerua Dungri village. Village head Kanhu Murmu and panchayat member Shitalal Tudu were also present on the occasion.

The training programme includes sessions on play school teacher training, art and education, health education, self-introduction, and basic computer skills. The workshop began on April 2 and will continue till April 4.

The event was attended by Reena Veda Giri, Managing Director and Founder of Jamshedpur Women’s Club, along with office bearers Pooja Bhalotia and Shweta Soni. Karambir Singh Sony, Managing Director of Akshar International School, and other dignitaries were also present. The programme commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony.

Akshar International School has arranged transportation and certificates for the participants, while Jamshedpur Women’s Club is providing lunch during the workshop.

Participants appreciated the initiative and said the training would help them find employment opportunities, especially in local play schools.

Speaking on the occasion, Karambir Singh Sony said the school will continue organising such workshops to support women’s empowerment. Shweta Soni added that empowering women would contribute to building a progressive society.
