Burglars ransack Jamshedpur ice cream parlor, steal cash and goods

Jamshedpur, June 1: In a shocking incident, thieves targeted Al-Safa Ice Cream Parlor situated on Old Purulia Road, under the jurisdiction of Azadnagar police station. Breaking through the asbestos roof of the shop, the culprits gained entry and proceeded to steal various items, including cash. The owner of the establishment, Md. Shakeel Anwar, discovered the break-in when he arrived to open the shop on Thursday morning. The shop was in disarray, with goods scattered across the premises and the roof extensively damaged. Anwar promptly reported the incident to the local police.

Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation into the matter. Anwar provided further details, revealing that the thieves had removed the asbestos roofing before breaking through the false ceiling to gain access to the interior. The burglars made off with a significant amount of cash and expensive food items, totaling approximately Rs 90,000. Disturbingly, Anwar disclosed that this was not the first instance of theft at his shop, suggesting a recurring problem that has yet to be fully addressed. The police are actively pursuing leads and gathering evidence to identify and apprehend the culprits responsible for this brazen act of burglary.
