Jamshedpur, March 15: A family property dispute turned violent when a man allegedly assaulted his two brothers with a sword in Baridih Basti under Sidhgora police station area, sources said. The accused, Raju, fled his house after the incident.
The victims, Sandeep and Rajesh, were seriously injured in the incident. They were taken to Tata Main Hospital where Sandeep’s condition was reportedly critical.
According to sources, the dispute arose over the ongoing construction work in the paternal house of the three brothers. Sandeep was getting the work done when he was allegedly assaulted by his elder brother Raju with a sword. He sustained cuts all over his body. When Rajesh came to Sandeep’s rescue, he was also assaulted by Raju, sources said.
Local residents sent Sandeep and Rajesh to Tata Main Hospital where Sandeep’s condition was reportedly serious, sources said.
Cops said they were conducting search for the accused. They said an FIR had been registered against the accused in this connection on the complaint of Rajesh. They further said that they were trying to find out if more persons were involved in the incident.
Land dispute turns violent in Bagbera
Jamshedpur, March 15: A clash between two groups was witnessed in Kitadih Gwalapatti area of Bagbera in what is being seen as a land dispute by the police.
Sources said one of the sides had registered an FIR against the other on charges of molesting female members of his family yesterday. Today, the other side too, reached the police station and lodged an FIR on molestation charges against their rivals. Cops said both sides had leveled serious allegations against each other. They said an investigation was on to verify the allegations.
