Boundary wall dispute: Students protest at colleges, classes hamper

Jamshedpur : Students of Jamshedpur Cooperative College today demonstrated at the city colleges in protest against the construction of boundary wall blocking a stretch of students used by students. Under the banner of �Jamshedpur Cooperative College Bachao Sangharsh Samity�, students demonstrated demanding justice.

XLRI management constructed the boundary wall along the stretch of the road which was used by students of the adjacent Jamshedpur Co-operative College. The wall which was a bone of contention between the two institutions was constructed following a nod from the local administration.

Students staged demsontration at Jamshedpur Coperative College, Karim City College, Jamshedpur Workers� College.

Pawan Singh a member of the newly launched front questioned why the management constructed the wall at mid night. He said that administration is supporting to the XLRI management by keeping mum.

He said that Jamshedpur Co-operative College, Jamshedpur Co-operative B.Ed College, Jamshedpur Co-operative Law College and classes of Ignou were shut up in protest today.

XLRI has invited union HRD minister Pallam Raju who will inaugurate the International centre on December 7 while the global management course in city will kick-off on January 10, 2014. XLRI�s two-year residential global MBA programme is being partnered by Weatherhead School of Management of Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, US, and School of Economics and Management, Tongji University, Shanghai in China.
