Blood donation camp at NML Jamshedpur collects 85 units

 

Jamshedpur, June 24: Demonstrating its commitment to social welfare and community service, CSIR–National Metallurgical Laboratory (CSIR-NML) organized a voluntary blood donation camp on its campus. Scientists, technical researchers, administrative staff, students, temporary personnel, and their family members enthusiastically participated in the initiative and donated a total of 85 units of blood.

The camp was inaugurated by Deputy Director Dr. S. Sivaprasad. Among those present were Controller of Administration Jai Shankar Sharan, Chief Scientists Dr. K.K. Sahu, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Dr. Devvrat Mishra, Dr. Kamala Kant Sahu, Dr. Sharmishtha Sagar, and Dr. M. Malathi, along with Medical Officer Dr. Priyanka Singh.

The programme was organized under the leadership of CSIR-NML Director Dr. Sandip Ghosh Chowdhury and the guidance of Controller of Administration Jai Shankar Sharan. Members of the NML Staff Club, including Dr. Sanjay Agarwal, Rohit Mudi, Parmarth Suman, Vijay Anand Mukhi, Jhumki Hait, and Santosh Rai, played a key role in ensuring the success of the camp. Security Officer Santosh Kumar Mudi and several other staff members also contributed to the arrangements.

Representatives of Jamshedpur Blood Bank and VBDA extended valuable support in conducting the camp smoothly and successfully.
